Senior Home Care and Synergy Home Care are accredited with The Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) as a demonstration of our commitment to providing excellence in home health care services. In 2012, Senior Home Care also became the first large provider of its kind to earn accreditation for Behavioral Health Home Care (BHHC) from the ACHC (achc.org). BHHC integrates behavioral health interventions into home care services for patients whose mental illness, substance abuse, intellectual/developmental disabilities make it difficult, or otherwise prevent them from receiving care outside of their homes. ACHC is ISO 9001:2008 certified and has Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Deeming Authority for Home Health, Hospice and DMEPOS (Durable Medical Equipment Providers).

Senior Home Care and Synergy Home Care were proud Premier Participants in the 2010-2011 Home Health Quality Improvement (HHQI) National Campaign. HHQI is a grassroots movement designed to unite home health stakeholders in: reducing avoidable hospitalizations, improving medication, and preventing falls in the home and in cross-setting care.

In January, 2013, Senior Home Care was the first home health provider to join the Florida Health Information Exchange (HIE). Florida HIE provides health entities with a timely, secure and authorized exchange of patient health information for treatment purposes. As part of the HIE, Senior Home Care is committed to improving the quality of health care through better outcomes, lower costs with excellent patient satisfaction.
In 2012, Senior Home Care was named HomeCare Elite™ for the seventh year in a row. HomeCare Elite is a compilation of the top home health agencies in the United States and is managed by OCS HomeCare, the leading provider of home care information, and DecisionHealth, the industry's leading source for news (publisher of Home Health Line). HomeCare Elite is compiled from publicly available data from Home Health Compare and The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Cost Reports. The three categories used to calculate the results are quality of care, quality improvement and financial performance.
In January, 2013, Synergy Home Care was among the first home health care providers to join the Louisiana Health Information Exchange (LaHIE). The LaHIE is the mechanism that allows for the secure exchange of health information among authorized providers and organizations across Louisiana’s health care system to help improve patient safety, quality of care and health outcomes.
