With complex laws that oversee home health care services, a strong and detailed Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program is vital to any home health care company. That is why Senior Home Care established its Compliance Program for the purpose of preventing fraud, abuse and waste. It is designed to ensure that all of our employees adhere to the same high ethical and legal standards in our daily relationships with patients, referral sources, vendors, insurance companies and government agencies.
Every member of the Senior Home Care team is responsible for contributing to the compliance program by following the corporate code of ethics, policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and reporting any known or suspected illegal activity within the company. We are strong in maintaining our commitment to identifying and preventing illegal and unethical conduct and delivering quality patient care.
Internally, a Compliance Committee monitors activities, standards and procedures, as well as reviews reports of suspected violations of the compliance program, and assists in determining consistent action for enforcement of the compliance program. Overall, the committee’s main purpose is to have an established anti-fraud and abuse system throughout Senior Home Care to promote honest, ethical behavior in all company activities.
Your concerns about ethical behavior and quality are important to us, and we encourage you to share these concerns with us. If you are aware of unethical, illegal or compromising activities, please report it directly to the Vice President of Legal Affairs and Compliance or file an anonymous report through the Compliance Hotline. The Compliance Hotline is available to report suspected fraud and abuse in an anonymous and confidential manner without fear of retribution. It is available for all employees, patients and contractors of the Company to seek assistance and guidance on issues regarding the Company’s Compliance Plan or on other matters pertaining to fraud and abuse.
